Growing up

My life is accelerating at a pace i cant keep up with and its kinda freaking me out.

I've now left compulsory school and im going back to sixth form to study some subjects and im just hoping that half of them are going to continue being relevant.

I really don't know what i want to do when im older. I think i want to be a network manager of some sort but im scared of that getting boring for me and then thinking i've wasted my time. Can't i just become internet famous or something?

Ugh.

So my question to you guys is, What do you want to do when your older

OR

If you ARE older, what are you doing now and are you glad you chose that job?

Matt, I'm 26 and I still don't know what I want to do with my life. I think this is the case for most people. Growing up I had a general idea of what I wanted to do but it is always evolving.

Things I wish I did more of: I wish I paid more attention in class, and worked harder. Also, wish I built up a network of more contacts. You never know who in your network could have that next job waiting for you.

If you do fall in love with something you should stick with it, even if the pay is crap. If you are determined to make something of it you will be eventually rewarded.

Here is the second part of your question.

I work in the IT department for an Agency in Boston. Computers have always been an interest and apart of my life. I can remember my first time using an Apple IIe computer in third grade. I'm sure you started to use computers in the womb.

I love every part of my job, the challenges, and the people I work with. I think it really comes down to how you make it.

On life:
It doesn't slow down.
